INDeX 9.1
Whether accessing the INDeX via a serial link or IP connection, the INDeX
administration menus operate in the same way.
1. Press Enter until the log on menu is displayed.

Note and record for future reference the CPU type and it's serial number.
2. Enter your programming username and then password.
– Repeated incorrect username and password entry will cause the
programming port being used to be locked out for one hour.
3. After successful password entry, the INDeX displays its resources screen. This
screen shows the INDeX's CPU cassette type, time, date and software level.

Note: If a valid Licence key for the CPU and software Level has not been entered, a
warning is given.
– Directory : 10,000.
The number of directory numbers used against the total number possible.
Directory numbers are used for trunks, users, groups and pilot numbers.
They are not used for DDI numbers.
– User : 1,500.
The number of user records used against the total number possible. Each
user record also uses a directory number for the user. User records are
used for terminal users, hot desking users and ACD agent.
– Group : 4,000 to 4,500
The number of group cells used against the total number possible. The
number of group cells used equates approximately to the number of groups
and the number of group members.
– Linecard :
The number of available cassette slots used against the total number of
slots supported by the CPU. This does not including CPU and ELC slots.
4. Press Enter to display the Administration menu. You can only display the Log
on and Resources screens by logging off and on again.
