7.3.1 Legacy RAID

7.3.1.1 Configuring a SATA RAID volume with the internal RAID controller

The following software description applies to the internal RAID controller on Kabylake-U chipset.
Information:
B&R recommends using only the same drive type in the SATA RAID volume.
Caution!
The maximum number of possible write cycles must be taken into account when setting up a RAID
volume with CFast cards with MLC technology.
The "Configuration utility" in BIOS must be started after the reboot for the configuration. After POST, press <Ctrl+I>
to open the RAID BIOS.
Information:
Since the associated driver is not yet loaded at this point, touch screen input is not possible in the
"Configuration utility".
Input in the RAID menu are always processed according to the QWERTY schema. This is also the case
if a QWERTZ USB input device is connected.
