2.11. Replacing Hardware

Use this procedure to replace hardware.
1. Remove the old unit and attach a new or spare ICDM-RX/TCP.
2. Connect the new ICDM-RX/TCP to the network hub or server NIC.
3. Apply power to the new ICDM-RX/TCP and verify that it passes the power on self-test.
4. Program the IP address of the new ICDM-RX/TCP.
5. If necessary, upload the latest protocol firmware.
6. Configure any ports as necessary to match the previous unit or upload configuration files from PortVision
DX.
7. Transfer all cabling from the old ICDM-RX/TCP to the new ICDM-RX/TCP.
8. It is not necessary to shut down and restart the host PC.
