ICDM-RX/TCP LEDs

11.7. ICDM-RX/TCP LEDs

The ICDM-RX/TCP has network and port LEDs to indicate status. This subsection discusses:

TX/RX LEDs

Network and Device LEDs on Page 148
11.7.1.TX/RX LEDs
This subsection discusses RX and TX LEDs on the following products:
DB9: ICDM-RX/TCP-4DB9/2RJ45-PM, ICDM-RX/TCP-8DB9/2RJ45-PM, and ICDM-RX/TCP-16DB9/
RJ45-RM.
RJ45: ICDM-RX/TCP-16RJ45/RJ45-RM and ICDM-RX/TCP-32RJ45/2RJ45-RM.
Note: ICDM-RX/TCP DIN rail models do not have RX/TX LEDs.
The RX (yellow) and TX (green) LEDs function accordingly when the cable is attached properly to a serial
device.
After power cycling the ICDM-RX/TCP, the RX/TX LEDs are off.
The LEDs do not function as described until the port has been opened by an application. You can use Test
Terminal in PortVision DX to open a port or ports if you want to test a port or ports (Testing Ports Using Test
Terminal on Page 134).
If the port is configured for RS-232/422 mode:
-
RX LEDs (yellow) are lit
-
TX LEDs (green) are lit when as the data exits the port
If the port is configured for RS-485 mode:
-
RX LEDs (yellow) are lit while receiving
-
TX LEDs (green) are lit during active data transmission

11.7.2.Network and Device LEDs

The LEDs indicate that the default ICDM-RX/TCP application, SocketServer is running or after driver
installation, that the NS-Link driver loads. If you have loaded PortVision DX, you can check the ICDM-RX/TCP
status on-line.

ICDM-RX/TCP-DB9/RJ45-PM2
The Status LED on the front of the unit is lit, which indicates that it
has power and has completed the boot cycle.
The Status LED flashes while booting and it takes approximately 15
seconds for the Bootloader to complete the cycle. When the
Bootloader completes the cycle, the LED has a solid, steady light
that blinks approximately every 10 seconds.
The red Link Act LED is lit, which indicates a working Ethernet
connection.
If the red Duplex LED is lit, it indicates full-duplex activity.
If the red 100 LED is lit, it indicates a working 100 MB Ethernet
connection (100 MB network, only).
