Most serial interface applications can be matched by using various
combinations of stop bit(s), parity. and 7- or 8-bit data. Appendix F and
Chapter 2 have information on changing strap settings.
Interface strap A30 selects 1 or 2 stop bits, B2 selects parity, and B6 selects
7- or 8-bit data.
The following chart illustrates the possible combinations.
