No indication on the display panel
when power is turned on.

Printer does not respond correctly to
pushbutton commands.

POSSIBLE CAUSE/CURE
■ Make sure that the power cable is
plugged into the printer and wall
outlet.
■
Check for power at the wall outlet
using a known good appliance.
■ Check thumbscrews and press "X" on
ribbon deck.
■
Check the printer for blown fuse.
■ Normal
if
printer is online.
■
Offiine: Printer may be locked up.
Try to print a status as future
reference for strap settings and then
initialize the printer.
■ Invalid configuration may be causing
printer to lock up. Tum power off and
then back on. If problem persists.
initialize the printer.
■ Check interface cable connections.
■ Selected speed (baud rate) may not
be
compatible with host. Reset serial
interface data rate.
■ Parity selected may not be
compatible with host. Reset serial
interface parity type.
■ Interface strap settings may not be
compatible with host. Recheck settings
and compare to host protocol settings.
