Use Table 3-3 when problems are experienced with the display. pushbuttons. or data
printouts.

PROBLEM
No indication on the display panel
when power is turned on.
Some pushbuttons are inoperative.
Printer does not respond correctly to
pushbutton commands.
Incorrect or no printout.

POSSIBLE CAUSE/CURE
Make sure that the power cable is
plugged into the printer and wall
outlet.
Check for power at the wall outlet
using a known good appliance.
Check thumbscrews and press "X" on
ribbon deck.
Check the printer for blown fuse.
Normal
if
printer is online.
Offiine: Printer may be locked up.
Try to print a status as future
reference for strap settings and then
initialize the printer.
Invalid configuration may
be
causing
printer to lock up. Tum power off and
then back on. If problem persists.
initialize the printer.
Check interface cable connections.
Selected speed (baud rate) may not
be
compatible with host. Reset serial
interface data rate.
Parity selected may not be
compatible with host. Reset serial
interface parity type.
Interface strap settings may not be
compatible with host. Recheck settings
and compare to host protocol settings.
