Self-test diagnostics are run:
■
During the power-on sequence.
■
After initialization by either the control panel keypad or the
initialization switch.
■
After printing.
■
When requested from the host by the ESC Q sequence.
The following table shows the display message. fault. and error
message. O'he error message is only used when requested by ESC
Q - See note. ) The fault column indicates which circuit board is
defective.
NOTE:
The error message is used only in ANSI emulation with
serial interface. When an ESC Q is received, the printer
performs a self-test and sends the appropriate error message
to the host if a fault is found. DCS - ESC P and
