Printer Initialization
Initialization Switch
Reset the printer with the initialization switch using the following procedure.
The initialization switch is located in the hole located on the back of the
control panel.
1.
Tum the printer off.
2. Slide the initialization switch to the UP position.
3. Tum the printer on. The printer will perform a self-test
and initialize.
4. When the display shows
St:lnitialize,
slide the initialization
switch back to its original position (down).

With the printer in
Local,
initialize the printer with the control panel using
the following procedure:
Exit
I. Press
{Function)
to enter the Function Mode.

2. Press

Sr:' e )
until
FCT:Setup
is displayed.
Enter
3. Press
4(Program)
to enter the setup mode.
Enter
4. Press
{Program)
to initialize to factory default setup.
To restore the customer-defined settings using
Setup:Recall,
press 3 - 0 - 0 - 4 - 0 - 4.
If the printer was operating before initialization,
it
may need to be
reconfigured for the specific task at hand.
