Warning
Pull the fan module out of the slot gently.
If the fan module slot is to remain empty, install a filler panel to allow for adequate airflow and to keep
dust out of the chassis.

Installing and Removing the Expansion Module
Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and an ESD-preventive glove before proceeding with the following operation.
3.6.1
Installing the Expansion Module
(1) Remove the expansion module filler panel.
(2) Pinch the captive screw to pivot the ejector lever outward. Slide the expansion module along the guide rails
into the slot. Pivot the ejector lever inward until the front side of the module comes in contact with the chassis.
Caution
Grasp the ejector lever with one hand, and pull the captive screw rightwards with your other hand for
alignment with the nut on the chassis. Drive the screw into the nut.
(3) Screw in the captive screw to seat the module firmly in the slot.

Installing the Expansion Module
Warning
Do not hold the PCB by its edges or touch components on the PCB.
Slide the expansion module all the way into the chassis gently. Align the expansion module in the right
orientation to the open slot.
If you are not able to push the expansion module all the way into the slot, carefully slide the module out
of the slot and repeat step 2 to reinstall the module.
If you are not able to screw in the captive screw, the expansion module may not come in contact with the
chassis.
