6.4 Quick Start Guide
6.4.1 Connection
Procedure
1.
Before connecting the DeviceNet
The range of the effective address is 0–63. See the calculation method of the address in
Switches.
When using the rotary switches to modify the DeviceNet
To supply power to this module, the LED shows a blinking "bT", and then shows "12", "25", or "50", respectively indicating
125 kbit/s, 250 kbit/s, and 500 kbit/s. Finally, it shows the set DeviceNet address. When the baud rate is set to Automatic
baud rate sensing state, and if there is no other CAN node on the network to send data, it shows "bT".

The RS232 interface is a specialized configuration interface. In configuration mode, pay special attention to the wiring.
4.
Power on.
The module enters Run mode (DIP switch 2 = Off).
Note the settings of the other DIP switches. See
6.4.2 Configuration
Use the configuration software SST-MD-CFG.
Procedure
1.
Set the DIP switch 2 to "On".
2.
Power on.
The LED display shows "CF", which means that the gateway is in the configuration state.
3.
Open the SST-MD-CFG software on a PC.
When using the gateway for the first time, click the Upload button to upload the example configuration for reference.
4.
Click Fieldbus in the tree view on the left and set the corresponding parameters.
