4.3.6 PROFIBUS DP Terminal
PROFIBUS DP uses DB9 hole pattern interface.
•
PROFI_B, PROFI_A, and Shield must be connected.
•
RTS can be used to determine the transmit direction by some devices.
•
+5 V and GND are used in the bus termination or as power supply for Fiber Optical Transceiver (FOT). The maximum output
current of pins 5 and 6 is 80 mA.
