7.3.4 RS485 Characteristics
• Network topology: Linear bus, there are active bus terminal resistors at both ends. If the communication quality is unstable, it is
recommended to add terminal resistors (120 Ω, ½ W) in parallel with the 2 data wires at both ends of the bus. Serial interfaces
I/II/II all have a built-in terminal resistor.
• Media: Shielded twisted-pair cable. Shielding can be canceled, depending on environmental conditions (EMC).
• Station number: 32 stations per subsection (without repeater), and can increase up to 127 stations (with repeater).
• Plug connection: 3-pin pluggable terminal. Each terminal is equipped with a 120 Ω terminal resistor switch.
