6 DeviceNet™
6.1 Function Description
The gateway can connect multiple devices with Modbus (RS485/RS232) interface to a DeviceNet
side of the Modbus network, and a slave at the side of the DeviceNet
RS485 can be configured as a communication interface and RS232 as a debug interface. Or the other way round. RS232 interface is a
dedicated interface for configuration mode.

gateway establishes the data mapping among the Modbus parameters and DeviceNet

Acts as a DeviceNet
slave: Group 2 only adapter.

Supports all the baud rates which accord with the DeviceNet

Acts as a Modbus master, and supports the 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 15, and 16 function codes.

The range of input voltage is 8–30 V, and the standard working voltage is 24 V DC.

Drop lines: The length of drop lines is the distance from tap of the trunk lines to the transceiver of every device, and it must
be less than 6 m. The length of drop lines is related to baud rate. The maximum lengths with different baud rates are:

Baud rate 125 kbit/s = 156 m cable

Baud rate 250 kbit/s = 78 m cable

Baud rate 500 kbit/s = 39 m cable
