VACON® 1000 Fieldbus Options
Operating Guide
Use mode switch to move to the configuration mode.
•
After powering on, the LED display shows the PROFIBUS DP address when acting as a slave.
•
Press the button for 5 s, and the LED display starts to blink.
•
Click the button once, and the LED display enters configuration mode.
•
Connect to the serial port of a PC through any one of the RS232/RS485/RS422 serial ports on the PROFIBUS DP module, and
finish configuration uploading and downloading.
•
After downloading, press the button for 2.5 s to enter the normal communication mode.
•
To finish uploading and downloading, connect the USB port of the PROFIBUS DP module to a PC. Select whether to enter into
the communication mode according to hints from the software.
Modifying the PROFIBUS DP address
•
After powering on, the LED display shows the PROFIBUS DP address when acting as a slave.
•
To enter the PROFIBUS DP address modifying state, double-click the button.

The high bit of the DP address starts blinking and low bit is always on.

To make the number increase by one, press the button once.
•
To switch to the setting state for the low bit, press the button for 2.5 s.

When setting the low bit state, the LED for the high bit is always on and low bit is blinking.

To make the number increase by one, press the button once.
•
To save the new address and enter the normal communication state, press the button for 2.5 s.

The high bit and low bit of the LED display are always on.
If there is no operation of the button for over 10 s when changing the DP address, the LED display automatically returns to the
normal communication state. If this happens, the previous operations are invalid.
