4.4 Quick Start Guide
Following these steps to configure the PROFIBUS DP module quickly.
Procedure
1.
Connect the power.

Connect the 24 V DC power. See

b.
Connect the PROFIBUS DP module USB terminal to a PC USB interface with a USB cable (USB standard A model to
USB Mini-B model).
2.
Use configuration software SST-MP-CFG to configure serial port parameters (subnet) and Modbus read/write command.
There are 2 ways to upload/download configuration of the PROFIBUS DP module. Using USB to configure the PROFIBUS DP
module is recommended.

Use a USB cable to configure.
Connect the PROFIBUS DP module with a USB cable to a PC which has software SST-MP-CFG installed.
Power on the device.
Click upload/download in the software and finish the configuration according to the instruction.
After upload/download, the PROFIBUS DP module enters normal communication mode.

Use serial port to configure.
Connect any of the RS232/RS485/RS422 serial ports of the PROFIBUS DP module to a PC which has software SST-
MP-CFG installed.
Power on the device and the LED display shows the DP address.
Press the button for 5 s, and the LED display starts to blink.
Click the button, and the LED display enters the configuration mode.
Click upload/download in the software.
To finish upload/downloading, select the correct COM port.
After upload/download, press the button for 2.5 s to enter the communication mode.
