About This Book
This book provides maintenance information that is specific to the Eserver pSeries
630 Models 6C4 and 6E4, as well as adapters and attached devices that do not have
their own service information. It also contains Maintenance Analysis Procedures (MAPs)
that are not common to other systems. In this book, the pSeries 630 Model 6C4 and
Model 6E4 are hereafter referred to as the system .
MAPs that are common to all systems are contained in the RS/6000 Eserver pSeries
Diagnostic Information for Multiple Bus Systems .
This book is used by the service representative to repair system failures. This book
assumes that the service representative has had training on the system unit.
