Off – DNS servers are not used in the network.
•
Specify – Select this option to enter the IP
address of the DNS servers.
• Auto – Select this option to automatically detect
the primary DNS address, provided the DNS
Server is defined in the DHCP and if the DHCP
-obtain IP Address Automatically check box was
selected in the Settings tab.
If Specify was selected, this field is mandatory. Enter
the IP address of the primary DNS server.
If Specify was selected, enter the IP address(es) of
the next DNS server in line to resolve domain names
as a fallback for the primary DNS server.
These fields are optional.
Enter the domain name where the MCU is installed.
The name of the domain includes the host part of
URL or URI (the part of the host's address that
appears after the at sign (@), or in a URL the part
following the www. prefix), for example,
polycom.com.
This field is used both for SIP proxy registration
purposes and DNS resolution and therefore it is
required if you are using DNS servers in this service.
