Memory buHons on driver's seat (if fitted)
The seat can remember different settings.
The memory buttons are located on the
outside of the driver's seat, on the lower
edge.
The ignition must be turned to OFF or
ACCESSORIES for the memory buttons to
work. For safety, the memory buttons are
not operational if the ignition is switched to
ON.
Press a seat memory button (for less than
seconds) to recall the memory position
2
(confirmed by a chime).
Even though the seat may then be adjusted
to a new position, briefly pressing the button
will return the seat to the memory position.
To change a memory position, adjust the
seat with the controls shown on the facing
page, then press and hold the chosen button
for more than
seconds. A second chime
2
will be heard when a new memory is stored.
To interrupt movement of the seat, press
any of the buttons while the seat is moving.
Personal Identity keys: When the UNLOCK
button on the key is pressed the system
identifies the key and remembers the last
settings used for the key. The seat is then
automatically moved to the last adjustment
used for that key, whether that was a
memory button position or whether the seat
was adjusted without memorising the
position.
Also refer "Personal Identity Keys" in Chapter
Notes:
The LED light on the side of the seat will not usually be seen by the driver and is
primarily designed for diagnosis.
The seat will only move to the alternate Personal Identity Key setting if the UNLOCK
button on the key is pressed. Putting the alternate key in the ignition will change other
Personal settings (radio, climate control etc.), but not the seat, as it could be
dangerous for the seat to move while the ignition is ON. Therefore, to keep all
Personal settings synchronised, press the UNLOCK button on the key when using
the alternate key and approaching the car. Alternatively, press a memory button on
the seat to move the seat.
The mirror DIP function (refer page
Identity key memories. That is, each seat memory position also stores whether the
mirror was set to "DIP"or not.
