Notes about the key
The key has a lithium battery inside the key head, which should last more than
years with normal use.

Tinting the car's windows reduces the range of the key if the tinting material has a
metallic film.
When a button on the key is pressed it sends a signal to the car. The receiver of the
signal can be seen as a small rectangle on top of the dash, in the centre. The receiver
is also used to measure sunlight. It is therefore vital that the receiver is clean, not
covered and that there are no metal objects close by, as this may block the signals.
The "LOCK" button on the key won't work if the ignition is switched on or if the driver's
door is open. The

The key buttons may not work if parked near high radio activity, such as under TV
towers (most likely in high lookout car parks)_
The key buttons won't work if the battery inside the key is flat. Try turning the key
in the ignition to ON, then OFF again and remove. Try pressing "LOCK" on the key
again. If it still does not work a replacement key may be needed from your Holden
Dea!er.
If, for any reason, pressing the key buttons won't work, the doors can still be locked
and unlocked by turning the key in the driver's door lock.
- Turn the key anti-clockwise (once) to lock all doors.
- Turn the key anti-clockwise a second time to set the deadlock.
- Turn the key clockwise to unlock and unset the deadlock. If this causes the
alarm to trigger, turn the key in the ignition to ON to shut off the alarm.
If the battery in the car is so flat that there is not enough power to unlock doors when

the "UNLOCK" button on the key is pressed the driver's door can still be unlocked
by forcefully turning the key clockwise in the door lock. The snib button does not pop
up but pulling the handle will still open the door.
