Use either method shown below to unlock the boot. After partly opening the boot lid,
gas struts automatically take over to lift and hold the boot lid in the fully open position.
The boot re-locks automatically when pushed shut.
Key button
Unlock the boot by pressing
the key.
The button on the key must be
pressed for more than half a second
travelling speed must be less than 15 km
per hour for the signal to work. This is to
stop accidental opening.
When the boot is unlocked, it can then be
fully opened from outside.
Glovebox button
Push the button in the glovebox to unlock
the boot, provided you are not travelling
over 15 km per hour or the alarm system is
ON.
Then from outside, lift up the boot.
For added vehicle security, the glovebox
button is disabled when all doors are locked
with the LOCK button on the key.
Emergency release
An emergency release is provided behind
the centre of the rear seats.
Push down the lock button at the top of the
middle section and fold the middle section
down.
The release is at the top of the cavity. Pull
the ring sideways, towards the centre of
the car to open the boot.
