Seat belt pre-tensioners
The front seat belt system incorporates
seat belt pre-tensioners. In the event of a
frontal collision the belt buckles are pulled
downwards; the diagonal and lap belts are
instantaneously tightened.
If the belt tensioners are actuated, the seat
belt warning light on the instrument panel
won't go out after the usual few seconds.
This is desianed to remind vou that the pre
y
tension s
stem has been used and,
therefore, needs to be replaced by your
Holden Dealer. The seat belts will remain
operational, apart from this safety feature.
If the light comes on at any other time you
should immediately see your Holden Dealer
to have the system checked.
