5.8 Replacement of the welding gun arm
Introduction
The arms come in various material, shapes and sizes. For this reason, it is not
possible to provide instructions for the disassembly and reassembly of all types
of GWT C9 arms.
This chapter is based on the repair activities of standard arm, but it contains
important recommendations that are applicable to the disassembly and reassembly
of any kind of arm.

Scotch brite wheel or hand pad
Action
Remove the protective cover.
Position the welding gun as illustration
shows.
Ideally place a lifting table under or just
beside the welding gun to use as a ser-
vice table.
Remove the cover plate (pos. 1) by remov-
ing all screws (pos. 2) holding it in place.
