5.4 Replacement of the electrode holders and water hoses

Introduction
The electrode water hoses can be replaced without replacing the main water hoses.

The procedures below applies to both moveable gun arm and fixed gun arm. The
illustrations in the procedures shows gun arm fixed, but the steps applies to both
gun arms since they are identical.

Scotch brite hand pad (fine grit)
Scotch brite wheel
Hand drill machine
Spot welding gun tip removal tool
Tip
If there is a need to replace both electrode holders, change one at a time to avoid
losing the reference position.
Note
To obtain sufficient power transfer between the sleeve and the electrode holder,
the contact surfaces should be lubricated with contact paste.
