The mechanical components of the printer can be broadly divided into an ink passage and a paper path.
The ink passage consists mainly of the ink tank unit [1] and the printhead mounted on the carriage unit [2], the purge unit [3] and the maintenance cartridge [4]. Its
functions are to supply, circulate and suck inks and more.
The paper path comprises the feed assembly [5], the upper roll media pick-up assembly [6], the lower roll media pick-up assembly [7] and more to feed paper in
three different ways, and transport and eject the paper.
