Operation
Spontaneous breathing
Turn the APL valve counterclockwise as far as
it will go.
The two points are vertically aligned. The valve
head is raised.
The pressure limitation is canceled, the valve is
open for free spontaneous breathing.

1 Press the Man.Spont. key (A); its LED and the
status line flash.
2 Confirm via rotary knob (B).
Man.Spont.
Certain alarms are disabled automatically in the
Man.Spont. ventilation mode in order to avoid arti-
facts.

the Man.Spont. mode.
