Grind a 30 mm recess at the base of the mast
up to the bridge of the keep.
Drill a 4 mm hole from below at a distance of
800 mm, for the mounting pin of the spreaders.

Now drill the 1.8 mm holes for the shrouds and
stays. The first two brackets for the lower
shrouds are located just below the holes for
the spreaders on both sides of the mast.
Bend the fixing straps at an angle at one end
so that the shroud or stay can be fixed to the
hole. The brackets are fixed with the self-
tapping screws part 164.
The upper shrouds are attached to the end of
the mast with a bracket 120 on each side.

Screw on 2 fixing straps for the forestay and
the jib 1020 mm from the mast foot.
Now mount the boomer fitting, the connection
of mast and boom.

Remove the eye at joint 111 so that the joint
can rotate in all directions in the bearing.
Countersink the mounting holes for the coun-
tersunk screws 176 so that the heads do not
prevent rotation.
