Put together the boat stand using parts 40, 41
and 42. Then the glued stand can be sanded
clean and given a waterproof paint. The water-
proof paint is particularly important, as the wet
model will be placed on this during later driving
operations. To protect the hull, we recommend
sticking a self-adhesive foam strip on the sup-
porting surface.
2. Hull
Next, we will make the hull.
Now is the time you have to decide whether
you want to build the model with or without an
auxiliary drive. If not, skip the steps that relate
to the installation of the stern tube.
Mark the positions for the rudder tubes and the
stern tube on the hull (1). First measure and
mark the middle of the keel. Then mark the
middle of the stern tube 130 mm from the keel
and the position of the rudder tubes 3 mm from
the edge of the keel.

Now bore the holes for the stern tube and rud-
der tubes.
First drill approx. 2-3 mm with a small drill and
then continue to work it into the correct dimen-
sions – rudder tubes 4 mm and stern tube 6
mm. For best results, drill a small hole and
open to size with a needle file.
Before continuing to work on the hull, you now
have to make the rudder.
3. Rudder and rudder tubes
Put together the rudder using parts 30 to 33.
First, glue the inner parts 31 on the outer
surface 30 so that the marking for the propeller
recess remains visible. In the next step, glue
both shafts 32 and 33 into the recesses with 5
min epoxy after you have bent the brass wire
20 mm at one end. Roughen the brass shafts
with sandpaper in the areas to be stuck. Fi-
nally, stick on the 2nd outer surface. If you
have chosen to install an auxiliary drive, now
