Adjust the parts of the superstructure 50 to 53
without gluing. Insert the rear wall of the su-
perstructure so that the rear wall 50 is in front
of the step.
Next, stain the deck and the superstructure
parts, e.g. Krick Mahogany, Order No. 349111.
Attention: Do not grind until after staining, oth-
erwise there is a risk that the stain will "run
out".
Here we can take advantage of a negative
property of lasering. The laser burns the wood
where it works. For gluing we have to grind the
burnt edges cleanly so that the glue sticks. The
same applies to varnish. On lasered areas the
varnish does not stick well. The laser engraved
planks should not be sanded, but should re-
main visible. If we now carefully stain along the
plank line, we have a good separation from the
areas that should remain differently coloured.
We can also take another step here, and eve-
rything that should remain light, for example,

can already be primed with pore filler. Stain the
body woods and the fish (king plank = plank in
the middle of the boat). Apply the stain with a
suitable soft brush.
Now the stained superstructure parts can be
glued in.
At first only glue the superstructure walls in the
area of the deck cut-out. Glue the ends to-
wards the companionway and the back of the
cockpit only when the middle section has dried.
