The following tools are the basic equipment for
building the "ARIADNE":
- Craft knife (order No. 416002)
- Hand Drill (order No. 473841)
- Broach (order No. 491016)
- Sanding block (order No. 490080)
- Sandpaper grit 180, 320, 400 and 600 (set
order No. 490190)
- Round file approx. diameter 6 mm
- Drill bit diameter 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 3
mm, 4 mm, 6 mm
- Wet and dry sandpaper 400 and 600 for pore
filler, primer coat and paint
- Diagonal cutting pliers (order No. 455550)
- Building board (most suitable wood core ply-
wood 115 cm x 30 cm)
For masking when painting, PVC masking tape
or paper masking tape is also required. The
Krick range includes suitable masking tape
under order No. 493269. This masking tape is
available in various widths. Do not use crepe
tape!
To equip the model with a remote control and
sailing operations, the following additional
equipment is required:
- 4-channel remote control with servo
- Sail winch for mainsail Windforce 1406 MG
order No. 79074

The numerous photos in the building sections
make building the model simpler.
Before starting construction, you should clearly
identify the parts using the parts list and build-
ing instructions and number them with a soft
pencil. When building the model, always care-
fully remove only the parts that you need at the
specific time, using a sharp craft knife.
You will find it much easier to get into boat
model building if you contact an experienced
model builder who will help you if you have any
questions and problems and will make sure
that your own "Ariadne" becomes a functioning
and beautiful model. If you do not have an
experienced model builder in your group of
friends and/or acquaintances, contact your
local model boat building club or ask for the
address of the club from the specialist model
building retailer from whom you purchased this
set. At the model boat building club, you will
find active model builders, who will certainly be
happy to help.
We wish you much pleasure with the now fol-
lowing construction of your sailing cruiser.
Important for the bonding of laser parts is the
grinding of the burn-off at the laser edges.
These burnt edges will not bond with adhe-
sives of any kind.
