9. Mast and beams
First, make the mast foot from parts 105, 106
and 107. Put the brass tubes into each other. If
necessary, press them together in a vice.

Now screw the tube onto the deck with screw
108 and nut part 109.
The mast can now be placed on this mast foot.
The mast is 2-part and must be assembled
with a connector.

The connector consists of a 7 mm brass tube
part 101 and a plastic profile 6 * 6 mm part

Insert these two parts into one side of the joint.
The plastic profile must be fitted accordingly.
The connector should fit very tightly. The two
parts are of different lengths to make it easier
to insert both parts. Position the pipe so that
the pipe protrudes 25 mm above the plastic
profile.
Glue both parts outside the mast profile with
medium viscous super glue. Take out the con-
nector and glue it on the remaining length.
Now the connector can be glued halfway into
the longer part of the mast. After the glue has
dried, the 2nd piece of the mast can be pushed
on. You have the possibility to decide whether
you glue the mast or leave it unglued for dis-
mantling.
