Some parts in the analyzer have sharp edges. Work carefully to avoid
injury.
Before replacing an assembly, inspect the board for obvious, easy-to- x defects. Examples
include:
bent pins on ICs
no solder in holes around the edges of shields
cold solder joints
Service Kit
he service kit (HP part number 08712-60012) for the HP analyzers contains several parts that
are useful for adjusting and servicing the analyzer. he following parts are included:
An extender board assembly that allows you to operate selected internal board assemblies
outside the analyzer chassis.
An HP-IB connector extender that allows you to mate an HP-IB cable when the extender
board assembly is attached to the analyzer.
wo SMB extension cables, 12 inches long (30 cm).
A modi ed 5/16-inch wrench for better access to SMA cable nuts.
An IC extractor tool for removing ICs such as the U335 bootROM.
A 6-inch (150-mm) semi-rigid coaxial extension cable.
A non-shielded display ribbon cable used to connect the display when the A2 CPU board is
operated outside the chassis.
A voltage reference source used to perform several adjustments. he source provides

24 mV, and +10 V supplies.
