This chapter describes how to use the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager
software, configure the BayStack 820 ISDN Router for basic ISDN access, and set
the router's system time.

Using the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager Software

The BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager software is built in to the router to
provide easy configuration and management. To configure your router, you can
use popular Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator version 4.5 or later or
Internet Explorer version 4.01, SP1 (or later) or use a null modem cable or a
Telnet application to issue commands with the command line interface (CLI).
The router comes with a basic feature set installed. If you purchased additional
features from your distributor, you are provided a feature key. You can use the
feature key to update your system with the new features. For details, refer
to"Upgrading the Firmware and Software Features" on page
Before you use the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager software, make sure that:

The Web browser is configured for LAN access.
The workstation you use to configure the router has an IP address on the same
network as the router. For details, refer to
