Description
The switch type of your ISDN line (supplied by your ISDN provider). Select from the
following:
Auto Detect (North America ONLY)
Japan (INS Net)
Europe (ETSI) - default switch type for an S/T interface
NT DMS-100
NI-1 - default switch type for a U interface
ATT5ESS (Multipoint)
ATT5ESS (Point-to-Point)
Taiwan
OCN
Permanent 64K
IDSL/Perm 128K
Enter the Service Profile Identifier (SPID) numbers supplied by your ISDN service
provider. Used only in North America, SPID numbers are unique identifier numbers
provided by your local telephone company when you install an ISDN line. Usually,
two SPID numbers are provided, but sometimes one and even none is provided.
In many cases, both SPID numbers are required if you want to connect using two B
channels. A SPID number is typically 14 digits long and consists of the 10-digit
telephone number (area code plus phone number), followed by the digits "0101."
Other variations of this number are possible and your telephone company can
provide you with the correct information for your ISDN line. The SPID numbers may
be automatically detected and entered if you select Auto Detect as the ISDN Switch
Type.
This field is displayed when you select NT DMS-100, NI-1, or ATT5ESS (Multipoint)
as the ISDN Switch Type.
Select the number of additional Directory Numbers you want to specify. Select from
0, 1, 2, or 3.
This field is displayed when you select Auto Detect, Japan, Europe, NT DMS-100,
NI-1, ATT5ESS, or Taiwan as the ISDN Switch Type.
Enter the first Directory Number.
This field is displayed when you select 1, 2, or 3 as the number of directory phone
numbers.
Enter the second Directory Number.
This field is displayed when you select 2 or 3 as the number of directory phone
numbers.
