Installation and Reference for the BayStack 820 ISDN Router

set ipx lan

set ipx lan <local_network_#>
set ipx lan <local_network_#> {802.2 | 802.3 | Ethernet_II/snap}
Assigns a local IPX network number to the attached LAN. Valid frame types
include 802.2, 802.3, Ethernet II, and SNAP. While the router still receives
packets with any frame type, any routed packet sent out from the LAN port is
converted to the specified frame type.
If you do not specify a frame type, the system uses the existing frame type
configuration, which defaults to 802.2.
If you do not specify network number and frame type in the command, the router
attempts to automatically detect these parameters from responses to queries to any
locally attached IPX RIP-enabled devices. Automatic detection is attempted when
the router is initialized.
Example
BayStack> set
show ipx <interface_name>
Displays all interfaces for which IPX routing is enabled. If you specify an
interface name, more information related to this interface, such as RIP/SAP state
and spoofing, are also displayed.
