To reset the router to factory default conditions and restore the default password:
Use the included null modem cable to connect a workstation to the

router's DB-9 console port

Set the console speed to a baud rate of 19200 b/s, eight data bits, no

parity, one stop bit (19200, 8, N, 1,) and disable hardware flow control.
If the Telnet application does not allow you to set flow control options, set it
in the Device Manager area of the Windows System settings (accessible from
the Control Panel). After configuring these settings, some applications require
that you close and then restart the session.
Turn the router off and then back on.

In the console window, the message "Loading firmware..." is displayed.
When the message "Ready" is displayed, immediately (within one

second) press [Ctrl] + C.
The router is reset. When the reset is complete, the router returns all settings
to the factory default and the password is "password."
