If you set a line to Ring only, incoming calls appear on an intercom button.
The 7000, 7100 digital telephones, are exceptions, they have no line buttons; therefore, you
can assign any number of lines, but only two lines can be answered at any one time. Assign the

In this case, giving you one less line

If you add an Answer DN, the system
overwrites the button above the last
assigned Answer DN. In this case, giving

Answer DNs assign starting above the assigned
intercom buttons (maximum of 8). Answer DNs
overwrite line programming.
Intercom buttons assign starting from the bottom,
right* (maximum of 8). Intercom buttons overwrite
line programming, and push up Answer DNs.
* Other types of telephones may have a Handsfree key assigned
to the lowest key. In that case, intercom buttons start above that
key.
