EVERY 250 SERVICE HOURS
chains have been installed and every 250 hours of
operation.
1. Jack up the machine.
(See Jacking up the machine on page 78)
2. With the machine blocked up, rotate each tire and
check for allowable movement.

5.1 Adjusting the drive chain tension

WARNING
To avoid personal injury or death:
• Jack stands can slip or fall over. Dropping,
tipping,
or
slipping
components is possible.
• Do not work under a vehicle supported by jack
stands only. Park machine on a level surface.
Block wheels. Support machine with safety
stands.
• Failure to comply could result in death or
serious injury.
Each axle drive chain is adjustable by loosening the
retaining nuts and sliding the axle-hub assembly to
remove the excessive slack.
1. To adjust the final drive chains, jack up and block
the complete skid steer securely off the ground.

2.7 mm to 4.7 mm
2.2 mm to 5.1 mm

2. To tighten the chains slide the front axle-hubs
forward and rear axle-hubs rearward.

6. Replacing the air cleaner element

IMPORTANT :
• Shorten the replacement period if the machine
is used in dusty or sandy areas.
• Replace the air cleaner element regularly or
foreign materials will accumulate, which will
shorten
the
DPF
(3000 hours).
• Use KUBOTA genuine inner and outer element.
• Do not blow air to clean the case inside. It
allows dust come into the inner element.
• Clean up the case inside with clean wet cloth.
After cleaning, wipe it dry with clean dry cloth.
1. Open the rear door.
2. Remove the dust-cover.
