Advanced Configuration Sub-Menu
This menu gives access to all the advanced parameters sub menus for the different features of the
RX-1, as:
Acquisition
Video Output (video and Tape)
PCM Data
Index Tracking (for PCM/FM trellis)
Apply Acquisition Reset (for all demod/bit-sync)
This Acquisition Menu is available in FM mode.
Automatic Frequency Control is a function which modifies the receiving frequency in order to keep the energy of
the received spectrum well balanced at the center of the receiver filter. Hence, it has to be used with symmetrical
spectrum, and it may be affected by any propagation distortions which impact the spectrum.
AFC mode is either AUTO or OFF. Its acquisition range is selectable between: +/-50kHz, +/-150kHz, +/-250kHz,
+/-500kHz, +/-750kHz). The AFC loop time constant can be chosen in the following selection (1.5ms, 5ms, 15ms,
50ms, 150ms)
This Acquisition Menu is available in PCM-FM mode.
Access is given to the B/S Symbol Loop BW for Bit Synchronizers. This parameter sets the Loop Bandwidth for
the Symbol Acquisition. The larger le BW, the faster, but the more noise-sensitive. 0.3% or 1% is common value.
