RX-1 Compact Operational Receiver
User's Manual
Rugged 1U 19" racked mounted chassis
with screens and control pushbuttons.
Can be used as 2 totally independent channels where two independent
frequencies can be set up on both channels or in a polarization combination
scheme. The AGC regulation is based on linear amplifiers, well spread on
the RF front ends between RF, first and second IF to ensure a proper AGC
signal value according to the input level and dynamics of 90dB (crucial for
100 kHz in RF / 1Hz NCO after digitization
Fully compatible with ARTM / IRIG Tier 0, Tier 1 and Tier 2
8 analog pre-selection SAW filters (500kHz to 40MHz) to reject the adjacent
channels (frequency spacing performances exceeding the IRIG 106
30 digital FIR filters (3kHz to 40MHz) user selectable.
Customized IF filters can be designed to better fit customer application and
can be installed by firmware upgrade
-10dBm to noise floor (around 100dB)
Modes : Automatic / Manual / Freeze
5 time constants (0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1000 ms)
AM response from AGC cut-off to 50kHz
Thanks to the 90dB dynamic, the AM demodulation can be performed with
the same quality along the full dynamics of the RX-1
Available in Polarization diversity as well as in Frequency diversity
Gain of up to 2.5dB on the combined channel SNR
Optimum mode based Optimal Ratio combining calculation with Automatic
Switching to Best Channel Selector
Short time response time to overcome fading rate up to 50kHz
Zeroing capability to compensate a slight gain difference between the two
input paths (due to cables, connection mismatches)
