The PCM Data Menu is used to configure the input and output codes and some muting functions.
Input Code: Code applied on the received PCM stream. Selectable among the following: NRZ- L/M/S, BP-
L/M/S, DM- M/S, RNRZ- L.
Output Code: Code applied on the output PCM stream. Selectable among the following: NRZ- L/M/S, BP-
L/M/S, DM- M/S, RNRZ- L, CCSDS Viterbi.
Output format: TTL or RS422
This menu is used in PCM/FM mode with trellis. A trellis is dedicated to the nominal modulation index value of 0.7
(peak-to-peak deviation). Legacy analog transmitters may not have an accurate deviation, so it may be
necessary to adjust this parameter in the trellis to some extent. Furthermore, this value may be unknown, so an
automatic track may also be useful.
Mode: Different modes are available for index tracking in PCM-FM trellis:
Nominal : index is fixed to the expected optimal value of 0.7
Manual : index is fixed, with the "Index Value" parameter
Automatic : index will be searched and tracked, starting from the "Index Value" parameter
Index Value: This parameter is used to set-up the Index Value in Manual mode, as well as the starting index for
