4. Attach the battery charging cable between a 9 V battery and the
internal battery (Figure 4-6).

5. Allow the two to remain connected for a minimum of 15 minutes.
6. Disconnect the battery charging cable and reinstall the BiPAP Focus
battery within 30 seconds.
7. Connect the ventilator AC power cord to wall power and turn the ON/
OFF switch ON (I).
8. Confirm that the green Battery Charging LED lights (Figure 4-7). If
not, repeat the process from step 5 one additional time. If the Battery
Charging LED still does not light after a second attempt, replace the
battery.

9. Allow the battery to fully charge. Charging is complete when the
Battery Charging LED turns off, and may take 5 hours or longer.
NOTE: A fully-depleted battery may require several charge cycles to reach full
capacity.
