5. Connect each power cord to the power source.
6. Power up the server.
7. If removed, install the bezel.

Removing the secondary PCI riser cage

Procedure
1.
Observe the following alerts:
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and remove all AC
power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are
populated with either a component or a blank.
2.
Back up all server data.
3.
If installed, remove the bezel.
4.
Power down the server.
5.
Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
6.
Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack.
Remove the server from the rack.
7.
Remove the access panel.
8.
Do one of the following:
Remove the primary PCI riser blank.
Remove the primary PCI riser cage.
9.
Disconnect any cables connected to the PCI riser cage.
10. Remove any expansion boards installed in the PCI riser cage.
