Homing Methods
The 8743-CL closed-loop controller supports three(3) methods of Homing a Picomotor
positioner: (1) Find Home, (2) Find Index, and (3) Find Travel Limit. Which methods can
be used depends primarily on what compatible signals are made available on your
Picomotor positioners (i.e., Home signal, Index signal and/or Limit signal).
In general, the HOME Search routine is a sequence of motion segments through which the
controller determines the exact location of a home (origin), index, or limit switch.
