Gaps and Slots

The printers have a label gap sensor designed to detect the top of
each form:
• through the semi-transparent liner in the gap between labels.
• through a hole in the media.
The sensor is located slightly to the right in relation to the center
of the media path (as seen from the front of the printer). Refer to
your printer user's manual for specifications of the size and
location of detection slots.
When entering Dump mode, or when printing a form for the
first time after power-up using the Windows Driver, the printer
automatically determines the Q value while feeding a couple of
labels. The current Q value is printed on the test label and the
label produced by a U command. For more information on
