Note – Factory default HR alarm and limit settings may be found in the PPM3 Monitor
Settings chapter.

Check the patient and provide any
necessary clinical care.
Change the alarm limit if it is no longer
clinically appropriate.

calculate the heart rate (the top
displayed lead) – make sure that the
QRS amplitude on this lead is at least
0.5 mV.

lead gives adequate QRS amplitudes.
Remember the importance of good
skin preparation techniques.
Check the patient and provide any
necessary clinical care.
