WARNING
Seat retaining straps not connected
Serious injuries in case of accidents due to user error
► Always connect the seat retaining straps to the belt buckles when using the power wheelchair in a vehicle for
transporting persons with reduced mobility (see fig. 42). This is the only way to ensure that the seat remains
firmly connected to the chassis in case of an accident.
► For safety, confirm that the control electronics actually turn off the seat functions. If this is not the case, using
the power wheelchair in a vehicle for transporting persons with reduced mobility is not permitted. Contact the
qualified personnel promptly.

Securing the power wheelchair in the vehicle
1) Position the power wheelchair in the vehicle for
transporting persons with reduced mobility. For
more information, refer to section 5 in the brochure
"Transporting persons with reduced mobility",
order number 646D158.
2) Turn the control device off (see Page 27).
3) Verify brake locking. Engage the brakes if needed
(see Page 30).
4) Engage the seat retaining straps (see below).
5) Apply the attachment straps (see below).
Engaging seat retaining straps
1) Connect the buckle tongues of the seat retaining
straps at the left and right under the seat to the belt
buckles (see fig. 42).
INFORMATION: Note that fastening the seat
retaining straps automatically turns off the
power stand-up function for safety (and the tilt
function if installed). Therefore, release the
seat retaining straps immediately after use in a
vehicle for transporting persons with reduced
mobility so power seat adjustment is possible
again.
2) Engage the attachment straps at the front and rear
before tightening them ().
