6.6.4.1 Adaptation

It is possible to make small adjustments to the spacing between the knee pad and lower leg (e.g. in case of cloth
ing of different thicknesses).
Positioning the user in the seat
Place the user in an upright, 90° seated position.
The legs have to be supported on the footplate and lie straight against the leg pad while sitting.
Make sure that the lower leg length is adjusted correctly.
The knee pad should lie flat on the lower legs below the knee caps.
Possible positioning errors
The lower leg length is incorrectly adjusted.

Fastening the chest belt
>
Note the positioning instructions in the previous
section.
1) Push the belt flap (see fig. 11, item 1) through the
wide eyelet (see fig. 11, item 2).
2) Position the belt pads in the middle of the body (see
fig. 11, item 3). Make sure that the belt pads do not
overlap to avoid pressure points.
3) Press down the hook-and-loop closure of the belt
flap to fasten it.
WARNING! The chest belt is intended to sup
port the area over the sternum (breastbone)
from the front. This is accomplished when two
fingers fit comfortably between the top of the
belt and the armpit.
WARNING! Ensure that the chest belt lies
against the chest evenly on both sides and is
not too tight. It should be possible to slide two
fingers comfortably between the chest belt and
upper body.
4) Pull to check that it is secure.
Opening the chest strap
1) Pull on the finger eyelet until the belt opens (see
fig. 11, item 4).
2) Pull the belt flap out of the wide eyelet (see fig. 11,
item 1/2). Lay the belt to the side.
