6.12.2.1 Important instructions for use
Stop using the stand-up function immediately and consult a doctor or therapist if the following symptoms occur:
•
Increasing pain
•
Increased spasticity
•
Breathing difficulties
•
Dizziness
•
Sweating
•
Nausea
•
Headaches
•
Stronger heartbeat/heart palpitation
6.12.2.2 Emergency lowering device
The electric stand-up function is equipped with a button for emergency lowering.
With the help of the emergency lowering device, the stand-up device can be lowered or moved to the standing
position even when the control unit is turned off or not operational. The following application scenarios are conceiv
able (examples):
•
If the control unit fails, the user can bring the seat back to the sitting position.
•
If the battery is under voltage, the qualified personnel can bring the seat to the standing position for battery
replacement even though the control unit is not operational.
The emergency lowering device is only active when the control unit is turned off or not operational.
In case of mechanical defects on parts of the seating unit and/or a failure of the seat actuators, the emergency
lowering device cannot be used.
INFORMATION
► Please note that emergency lowering cannot be used when the batteries are drained entirely.
► Have the power wheelchair inspected by qualified personnel after a control unit failure or if the battery is
under voltage.
The emergency lowering button is located underneath the seat surface on the left front side (see fig. 21). When the
button is released, the stand-up device stops at the position it has reached.

► Use the seat tilt feature only with the backrest in the upright position.
► Drive in street traffic only with the seat tilt lowered.
► When driving with the seat tilt activated, even at home, fasten the belts and do not lean out beyond the seat
surface.

Lowering the stand-up device

The control device is turned off or not operational.
1) Press and hold the emergency lowering button at
the rear (see fig. 21, item 1).
2) The stand-up device moves down to the sitting posi
tion.
3) Release the button when the sitting position is
reached.
Raising the stand-up device
>

1) Press and hold the emergency lowering button at
the front (see fig. 21, item 2).
2) The stand-up device moves up to the standing posi
tion.
3) Release the button when the standing position is
reached.
