6.3 Footplate

CAUTION
Exposed pinch points
Crushing, pinching due to incorrect handling
► Do not reach into the danger area with your fingers when folding the footplate up or down.
The user's feet can be placed on the footplate.
To make getting into the wheelchair easier, the footplate can be folded up.

6.4 Backrest

CAUTION

Crushing, pinching due to incorrect handling
► Do not reach into the danger area with your fingers when folding the backrest up or down.
The backrest provides pressure redistribution and support for the upper body.

6.4.1 Folding the backrest up/down

The wheelchair may be delivered with the backrest folded down. It has to be folded up and secured prior to use.

Folding arm support away to the rear
1) Reach under the arm support.
2) Fold up the arm support (see fig. 4).
Folding arm support back to the front
1) Reach under the arm support.
2) Fold down the arm support.
Folding up the foot support
1) Pull the locking bolt (see fig. 5, arrow).
2) Fold the foot support up (see fig. 5, right).
Folding down the foot support
1) Pull the locking bolt.
2) Fold the foot support down.
