Installing the timing chain tensioner

Mount and tighten screws

Remove special tool

I Insert for timing chain tensioner (77229035000)

Preparatory work

Prepare the timing chain tensioner for installation.

Position timing chain tensioner

Mount and tighten screw plug

Plug, timing chain

Remove screw

Press the timing chain tensioner toward the timing chain

using special tool

Release device for timing chain tensioner (61229021000)

✓ The timing chain tensioner unlocks.

Mount and tighten screw

14 Nm (10.3 lbf ft)

Lubricated with engine

and insert it with new 0-

with the seal ring.

40 Nm (29.5 lbf ft)
